Former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel has said that he is extremely dissatisfied with the ambition at his current club Hoffenheim. The German club recently signed the Liverpool winger for around £ 6 million. He was initially one of the best players for the club, but his form has since reduced. Despite joining the club only a year ago, Ryan Babel has questioned the ambition of the German Bundesliga club and has also said that he would like to leave the club as soon as possible. This would come as a major shock to the Hoffenheim, who are yet to see the best of Ryan Babel.
The Dutch winger was expected to be one of the stars of the future when Liverpool signed him for around £13 million. However, he never really fulfilled his potential at Liverpool, which eventually led to his transfer to German club Hoffenheim. Even though Babel has questioned the ambition of the club, he has been quick to reiterate the fact that he is extremely happy at the club now, especially when they are being linked to german interntionals like Roberth Huth.
Babel has also said that he is even more happy than he was while at a big club like Liverpool. Babel was speaking after the 7-1 thrashing at the hands of Bayern Munich during the weekend.
Hoffenheim are currently in the 12th position in the table, with limited opportunities to think beyond safety this season. They will be taking on third placed Borussia Mönchengladbach during the weekend. “I do think I have a thing or two to improve myself although it is difficult to reach your full potential at an average team. At the moment I’m very happy at Hoffenheim. They offer me everything I need. I have a lot to do here and we have a few more targets this season that we want to achieve,” Ryan Babel said.
