Ryan Babel is one of the stars at German club Hoffenheim. He is all set to be joined by another person with the name Babel. Markus Babbel will be joining German club Hoffenheim after having just been sacked by Hertha Berlin. After a poor run of results, Markus Babbel was sacked by Hertha Berlin just a few months ago. However, his arrival at Hoffenheim will be marked with much fanfare because of the fact that the German team are themselves struggling in the 10th position. Qualifying for the European places looks extremely tough at the moment. Part of the reason is the poor form of Ryan Babel.
Ryan Babel arrived from Liverpool a few seasons ago. He initially started his career with Hoffenheim with a bang, but his form has dipped of late. Hoffenheim got the best out of Ryan Babel in the first few matches of his Hoffenheim career. He scored five goals in the first seven matches, but since then his form has been so poor that he has not scored in 19 matches. Following the arrival of the new manager, it is thought that the club will be able to see the best of Ryan Babel once again. Without the good form of the Dutchman, Hoffenheim have not won their last five matches.
“I don’t fear that Hoffenheim’s poor results will cost me my place in the Dutch squad. That shouldn’t be a problem as long as I deliver the goods, and I have plenty of confidence,” Ryan Babel said after the arrival of the new manager. “I shall try to get the team back on the rails – I wouldn’t have accepted the job if I had not been convinced about it. One has to stress the team has its strong points,” manager Markus Babbel said after signing for his new club.
