Ryan Babel and Mostafa Mohamed are teammates at Galatasaray in the Turkish Super League and the Dutchman has been impressed with his Egyptian teammate. According to Ryan Babel, Mostafa Mohamed has a bright future in the European game. In his latest interview monitored by HITC, Ryan Babel revealed that it’s only a matter of time before Mostafa Mohamed plays in one of the top leagues on the European football scene. Mohamed has been in very good form since signing for Galatasaray from Egyptian giants Zamalek at the start of the year and the £22m-rated striker has been linked with a move to the Premier League. South Londoners Crystal Palace are said to be the team keen to sign him. Crystal Palace are expected to look for striker reinforcements in the summer with the likes of Michy Batshuayi, Christian Benteke and Conor Wickham expected to leave the club. Belgian international Batshuayi is on a season-long loan at Crystal Palace from Chelsea but he has not been successful unlike his last loan deal at the club few seasons ago. For Benteke, his Crystal Palace deal ends in the summer, while Wickham is also in the same situation having endured several injuries in the past years at the club.
Mostafa Mohamed and Ryan Babel have struck a good understanding on the pitch at Galatasaray but the partnership might not last longer than this season with the Eagles on the trail of the player that has been likened to compatriot Mohamed Salah of Liverpool. Unlike Salah, Mohamed is a specialist centre forward. Salah operates on the wings and he’s the joint topscorer in the Premier League this season with 17 goals.
